A farmer found a stone in the ground. The stone was very shiny. He liked it very much and wore it around his neck. As he was returning from the field, a merchant saw the stone he wanted and asked the farmer to give it to him.
The farmer told him that I will give it to you, but on the condition that instead of the stone, I have to buy a bicycle for my child for rupees 500.
The merchant agreed and gave him a bicycle instead of a stone.
The merchant has a shop.
He hangs stones in his shop; every day he is happy to see the stones.
One day a jeweler was passing by the shop, but he was very miserly. He knows the stone is very valuable, so he asks the merchant to give it to him. The merchant says he will exchange it for 1000 rupees.
Then he said to the merchant, I will give you 900 rupees. Will you give it to me? The merchant refused. Jeweler was very stingy, so he said I would not pay 1000 rupees, and she thought she would come tomorrow and the merchant would give her 900 rupees.
That evening another jeweler came to the shop and saw the stone and asked the merchant to sell it for rupees 1000. The jeweler paid rupees 1000 and left with the stone.
The next day the first jeweler came and asked the merchant about the stone, and the merchant said that he had sold it for rupees 1000.
After hearing this, the first jeweler said it cost 100,000 rupees, and you paid 1000 rupees. Then the merchant said, Why did you pay 1000 rupees the day before?
